steamer under the above name, is now lying at
the wharf, loading in for her first trip to New Or
lama We think she may be well set down as one
of the best jobs ever mussed from the hands of our
Pittsburgh mechanics. Her hull, which is from
the yard of Mr. Walker, at Brownsville, is 153 feet
on deck, with 7 fixt hold, 551 feet beam and 30
feet Saw. Her cabin is by laillinger, the painting
by McLaughlin. In viewing the cabin, we were
struck wolh;the splendor of her famishing, particu.
larly the carpeting, which Is from the well known
establishment of McClintock, on 4th sliiieet, and is
truly a sublime affair. Her lamps andtqueetimeare
are from Geo. Massie, Market street. Her engine,
and Doctor are splendid affairs, bulltiit Snowden;
her cylinders are 20 inches in diameter, with a
feet smoke. She has 3 boilers 26 feet in length,
and 42 inches in diameter.
