On Saturday last, an English woman samsd Whitmore, arrirad in the city from Pitts* bdrgh with a small ohUd In her arms. Serious Accidkxt.—A small-lad by the name ef Thomas Harlan, who was at work as j apaiht boy in a machine shop. In the Fourth jWard, Allegheny, met with a serious, and perhaps fatal accident, yesterday afternoon. While swinging on a belt, a large boy oame behind him, and placing his foot against tip small of his baok, gave -him a violent push. | The little fellow immediately fell baok in* : sensible, la which condition he was picked up by two of the workmen, who earned him home. rWhen we saw him some two hours afterwards he was still insensible, was cold et his extremeties, and was gasping for.breath.
