Russian Mutineers Ordered
to Wear Black on Streets
Petrograd, Aug. 4. —The com
manding general of the Twelfth
Russian army nas decided that all
soldiers belonging to units which
disbanded owing to mutiny or re
fusal to take part in an offensive
shall wear on their arms a distinc
tive emblem In black.
When their conduct under Are
shall have rehabilitated them they
will be permited to discard the em
blem.
BUILDINGS STRUCK
The home of W. J. Lescure, near the
reservoir, was- struck by lightning
and badly damaged during the storm
cn Thursday. The barn of W. K.
Alricks, along Wildwod Lake, was
struck during the same storm.

RUSH WHISKEY OUT OF BOND
Washington. Aug. 4.—The war
tax and prohibition outlook brought
the total of withdrawals of whiskey
from bonded warehouses during
July up to 28,000,000 gallons, three
times the normal ,and higher than
any month for twenty-three years.
The entire volume of withdrawals
was in Eastern, Middle Western and I
Southern districts. 1

Preliminary plans and specifica
tions for the four-room annex for
the Harris building as prepared by
M. N. Bair, architect, were approved
by the School Board at a special
meeting yesterday. A number of
changes in the plans were ordered
because no provision had been made
for a few minor details. Separate
specifications will also be made for
the general building contract, wir
ing, plumbing and heating work.
Contracts for furpiture for the
various buildings were awarded to
Brown & Company, Burns & Com
pany, N. Snellenberg & Company
and the Harrisburg Burial Case
