Eight years apo last January the church was dedicated by Rishop Wil liam A. Quayle at a cost of $75,000. On Easter Sunday the entire debt •was raised. To-morrow morning the old mortgage will be burned by the "Old Guard." John A. Affleck, presi dent of the board of trustees, is to •make the presentation address. James W. A short love feast conducted 'by the minister will close the jubilee meeting. In the afternoon at 3.15 o'clock Dr. 'Howard L. Hull, associate chief med ical inspector of Pennsylvania, will address a men's meeting in the church isiuditorium on "What It Means to En i list in the Army." Dr. Hull was a first lieutenant in the Medical Corps (of the U. S. army and served in camp int Galveston and in Vera Cruz. He ijias had large experience in recruiting [and in camp sanitation. Nineteenth Sunday School District Holds Convention The district convention of the nine teenth district of the Dauphin County Sunday School Association was held last night in Grace M. E. The first will be In the Camp Cur tin Memorial Methodist church, when the fourth of the current series of pa triotic services will be held at 7.30 o'clock, at which time Governor Martin G. Brumbaugh. Whltaker, pastor will preach on "All Around Patriotism.' REV. C.K. IMBRIE TO PREACH HERE Married Member of Market Square Congregation; An other Latin Supper The Rev. Charles K. Imbrie, of Lan caster, New York, will preach, in tho Market Square Presbyterian church to morrow. The morning sermon will be on "Two Principles of Life," and the evening sermon on "Becoming As Little Children." The Rev. Mr. lmbrle Is well known in the Market Square congre gation, as he married one of the young ladies of the church. Miss Margaret Fleming, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Fleming. He Is making a splen did reputation as a preacher in his present charge. The last of the Latin-American sup pers for Market Square men will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. At 8 the address of the evening will be made by Charles D. Hurrey, of New York, general secretary of the com mittee on Friendly Relations Amojig Foreign Students. Mr. Hurrey ifc a speaker who is very popular with col lege men among whom he has had a largo experience. After his gradua tion from the .University of Michigan in 1900, he was successively secretary of the Student Y. M. C. A. at Indiana University. State secretary for Michi gan and secretary of the Student De partment of the International Y. M. C. A. Committee for the West. In 1907 he attended the conference of the World's Student Christian Federation In Japan and then visited the student centers of Japan, China, Korea and the Philippines. Later he toured the lead ing universities of Europe. Then he was called to be Y. M. C. A. secretary for the entire continent of South Amer ica, which position he held forty-three years, making repeated visits to the various countries. In 1912 he was call ed to the executive secretaryship ol the student department ,of the Y. M. C. A. of North America, which he left last September to take his present posi tion. 7?he ladles of the missionary society are preparing to make a canvass of the congregation to secure the offer ings for the support of Miss Elizabeth V. Coan, the newly-accredited mission ary of Market Square, who is laboring in Urumla, Persia. The pastor, the Rev. Dr. George Ed ward Hawes, will be In the pulpit again April 29. SPECIAL SERMONS Sunday at 10.45 the pastor and con gregation of Park Street United Evan gelical Church will continue their study of the "Forty Days," the period be tween the resurrection and ascension of Jesus, when the special theme will be "The Risen Christ and Men," being a study of His postresurrection appear ances to Peter, James, two disciples on way to Emmaus and Paul. At 7.30 the special sermon will be on "The Sil ver Lining to the Black Cloud Now Overhanging the World." The pastor will show that not all is lost that is vital, that it is not a time for black despair, that there are so many things right alongside the present great evils which give proof that "God's In His Heavens" and that the kingdom of Christ is going right on in spite of the war and other evils.
