SCHOOL PROBLEM MAY HANG FIRE Selection of Architect Will Await President Stimuli's Home Coming in April No action on the selection of an archi tect for Harrisburg's new high school may be taken until April as a result of the action of city school directors a little more than u week ago, in re fusing to elect William Nl. Ittner, of St. to draw plans for new high schools and alterations to present build ings. This delay of live weeks may re sult as A. Carson Stamm, president of the board, and chairman of the special committee to select an architect, is in California and may not return until April 1. The last action taken, was to give the committee instructions to name a Har risburg architect together with Mr. ! Ittner, so that the board could select j one. Since then it is understood that : some of the directors who opposed Mr. j Ittner will vite for him, if they are | assured that the loan of $1,250,000 will not be overdrawn. Public sentiment has been aroused J in favor of the special committee's report, in which Jit. Ittner was recorii mended. Directors of the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce at a conference j went on record favoring support of I the special committee, and tlie Rotary Club will act on the question. But with President Stamm out of the j city, school officials to-day expressed I no hope for action before the first meet- j ing of the board in April. Other mem- ! bers of the committee arer not expected I to act with the chairman out of the j Ci, ' V ' . I One of Von Bernstorff's Secretaries Found to Have 200 Suits of Pajamas Halifax, N.
