English Soldiers Now
Enjoy Theaters on Sunday
London, Feb. £O. Because 20,000
soldiers wander about the streets of
London every Sunday night with 110-
whero to bo, the authorities have
been prevailed upon to consent to al
low a few theaters to be opened for
their entertainment. The law requir
ing theaters to remain closed on Sun
days is rigidly enforced in this coun
try, only moving picture houses, and
those In limited number, being allow
ed to run. Now, however, some of the
large theaters where regular perform
ances are given on week-days are to
be permitted to remain open for the
benefit of the fighting men.
ISSUE TOBACCO TICKETS.
Berlin, Feb. 20. —There Is such a
scarcity of tobacco In Trieste that It
has beon decided to issue tobacco
tickets. None will be allowed to
women.
