B.—The shipbulld- j inff program of the Navy for the com- J ing ilscal year comprises a total of 42 vessels, according to the annual report of Secretary of the Navy Daniels, sub mitted to Congress yesterday. The Secretary expresses himself as feeling bound ,by the act of Congress fixing a three-year program. The num ber and type of the vessels are: Three battleships, one battle cruiser, three scout cruisers, 15 torpedo-boat destroy ers, four fleet submarines, 14 coast sub marines, one fleet submarine tender, and one destroyer tender. CITY BRIEFS Reports for the molfth of Novem ber show that (luring the month of November 143 individuals or families received aid and relief from the social service bureau of the Associated Aid Societies. Twenty-two out-of-town In quiries were handled and Ave transient cases disposed of. Forty-five now cases were received and sixty-six cases continued. Dr. E. 13. P.
