CELEBRATION
Observance of 400 th Anniver
sary of Protestant Reforma
tion by Lutherans
Mechanicsburg, Pa., Nov. 24.
Plans have been formulated by the
pastors of the General Council and
General Synod Lutheran Churches, of
Mechanicsburg and vicinity consisting
of the Rev. H. Hall Sharp, of Trinity;
the Rev. Dr. H. N. Fegley, of St.
Marks; the Rev. S. S. Games, of
Trindle Spring and the Rev. H. K.
Lantz, of St. John's, Shiremanstown,
to hold a Joint celebration of the four
hundredth anniversary of the Pro
testant Reformation in Franklin
Hall on Sunday evening, January 14
1917.
A large chorus will furnish music
and prominent ministers from a dis
tance will be the speakers. Each
pastor will appoint five laymen, who,
with the pastors will constitute the
executive committee. They will meet
with the pastors on Monday evening,
December 4, in Trinity Lutheran
Church, Mechanicsburg.
LUTHER LEAGUE MEETS
Shiremanstown, Pa., Nov. 24. A
meeting of the Luther League was
held Wednesday at the home of I. C.
Wertz. The topic discussed was "The
Most Dangerous Prayer." Miss Ma
rie Senseman had charge of the meet

Sunbury, Pa., Nov. 24. Judge
Cummings in the Northumberland
county court has revoked the licenses
of Roman Daukdha, Pennsylvania
House; Frank Schiccalana, Garibald
Hotel; Anthony Schmlcker, Edgewood
Hotel, Shamokin and Dominick Brldi
Treverton House, Treverton. They
were charged with selling liquor to
minors and on Sundnv.

DAIRYMEN TO MEET
Penbrook, Pa., Nov. 24. On Mon
day evening a meeting of the Dairy
men's League of Dauphin and Cum
berland counties will be held here. A
meeting of the association was held at
New Kingston on Tuesday evening.
Membership in the league at the pres
ent time represents upwards of 650
cows, with a dally production of about
21,000 quarts of milk.
