Before the end of the first hour, in which an over turn of almost 700,000 shares was re ported, little remained of the ad vance, while Crucible Steel, American hnd Baldwin Locomotives, General Electric, Marine pfd. and Mexico Pe troleum were 1 to 2 points under. The motor group, heavy from the out set, became decidedly weak.
