HAS 1200 HORSES ABOARD By Associated Press Philadelphia, Pa., Aug. 15. —Carry- ing a cargo of 1,200 of the best horses that the Western section of this coun try could furnish, the British steam ship Georgic left this port to-day. She celared for Brest, Prance, and carries a four-inch gun aft that for a time worried the authorities, though it was admittedly for defense only. The horses, which will be used in the allied armies, cost S3OO each, and besides this cargo, the Georgis carried flour, wheat and corn for Liverpool. Sixty attendants and one veterinary surgeon accompanied the horses.
