vances and declines. Sears-Roebuck
materially supplemented yesterday's
sain of over 6 points and some of the

stantially better, particularly Indus
trial Alcohol, Crucible Steel, the ioco

Car. Shipping shares again tended
downward. Kails were not much
aside from further pressure

AMERICAN RED STAR
WORKS FOR ANIMAL RELIEF
The Harrisburg S. P. C. A. has re
ceived circulars from the American
Humane Society in reference to the
United States Army horse relief work
which is being developed by this or
ganization with approval of the War
Department. It will be known as the
American Red Star Animal Relief. It
will do for sick and injured horses
what the American Red Cross is doing
for the soldiers.
Field hospitals will be erected when
needed on sites selected by the mili
tary authorities. Veterinary supplies,
blankets, horse ambulances, feed cut
ters, etc., will be made available.
There will also be recruited a large
force of experienced horsemen and
veterlnaries.
