The market be came more active on the advance of the first hour. Steel, Reading and a few specialties showing further improve roent. This Invited fresh profit-taking, with resultant recessions, Steel losing more than its gain, with a two-point drop for Reading, while munitions and equipments were 2% to 4 points down. Some of the issues, as well as leading coppers and the better known rails reg istered lowest quotations for the cur rent movement before noon, when spec ial stocks were acutely weak. Shipping shares, strong at the opening, were also affected by the general trend. Bonds were lower.
