LIQUIDATION OF
CORN PRODUCTS
Reading and Mexicans Weak;
Metals, Motors and Ship
ping Shares Suffer
By Associated Press
New York, June 26. There was
steady liquidation of Corn Products at
an extreme decline of 6%, making
that stock, next to Reading, the most
active issue of the forenoon. Read
ing's weakness and its decline of 3
points had no material effect on other
rails, but Mexicans were lower by 2
to 8 points, with almost as much for
metals, motors and shipping shares.
Industrial Alcohol reversed its early
course, falling to a new low price for
the movement., and other specialties.
Including the war group, yielded to
slight pressure. There were few neu
tralizing features, although United
States Steel was relatively firm. Bonds
were lower.

REAL ESTATE]
BIG REALTY DEAL I
Luther Minter Buys Monger Property I
and Interest in Roberts Holding
One of the largest real estate deals ,
of the year was consummated to-day !
when Luther Minter purchased a one- 1
third interest in the Roberts building,
10 South Market Square, and the Men
ger property in North Second street, 1
adjoining the Y. M. C. A. •
j The Roberts deal was completed
through Charles Adler, real estate
broker, who recently obtained an op
tion on the property. It is under
stood that Mr. Minter paid $11,500 for
the third interest. The remaining
shares are owned by lex. Roberts and
George B. Roberts.
The Menger property, which was
formerly occupied by Menger's restau
irant, is a three-story brick structure.
It is understood in realty circles that
Mr. Minter paid between $27,000 and
$28,000 for the building.
Mr. Minter could not be reached this
afternoon when an effort was made to
inquire what would be done with the
properties. It is reported, however,
that the Menger properly will be used
as a new home for the Minter Publish
ing Company, now located in South
Market Square.
WAR AFFECTS BUILDING WORK

tor's office, apparently has had its ef
fect on the building operations thus
