EARLY LOSSES ARE REGAINED Leading Stocks Advance Ma terially Over Close; Mexi cans Heavy By Associated Press New York, June 22.—Losses were largely regained as some leading stocks advancing materially over yes terday's close. Union Pacific, Read ing, Canadian Pacific and New Haven responded most freely to what seemed like substantial support, the latter gaining almost two points. U. S. Steel and Motors also were in clinod to come back easily but metals showed little or no recuperative power, Butte and Superior adding over 3 points to yesterday's severe loss. Additional advices from Washington and the border were not helpful to Mexicans, which continued heavy. Bonds were irregular, with moderately large offerings of the Anglo-French issue at concessions.
