TECH HIGH TEAM PLAYS AT EASTON Two Players, Britsch and Mc- Kay Back in Lineup; Lan caster Gets Open Date With the strongest line-up of the season, the Tech High school squad •will leave to-morrow morning on the "Queen of the Valley" for Easton, Where it will play its first football game with the Easton High school eleven. Included among the players will be , Britsch, the school's star quarterback 1 who has been out of the game this season because of scholastic condi tions. His presence will add much to the offensive strength of the team. McKay will also be in the line-up, starting at tackle; he will also be given a chance in the backfield. C. Snyder, a oenter, will make his first appearance of the Year in this game. His passing and aggressive defense will strengthen the middle of the line. Others in the squad included Cap tain McCurdy, Cocklin, Beck, Philippelli, Cole, Todd, Gipple, Mc- Farland, Miatthews. Garman, Lauster and Lloyd. The players will be in charge of Coach Whitney, Trainer Kelley and Faculty Director Grubb. During the trip the squad will be en tertained at) Lafayette College and I.ehlgh University. Professor Grubb has closed a game for November 13 with Lancaster High at that place. Speculators Get Tickets; Prices Reach Top Notch Special to The Telegraph Philadelphia, Oct. B.—Tickets went | to the basi-hall public yesterday | through two main channels, the Phila delphia " National League club and speculators. The distribution by the club took place at the park. Fifteenth and Hunt ingdon streets, arui the offices of the Stock Exchange Btjilding. The scalper salf. was a hotel and open-air propo sition. An army of scalp«3rs surrounded the Bellevue-Stratford, Walton, Conti nental, Adelphia. Ritz-Carlton and other hotels. They "svere vociferous in j their expressions of their willingness to buy a.nd sell, but it was a good deal easier to sell to tliem than to buy from them.i They had some pasteboards, but they lacked quantities, and what they had they hef/d for high prices. A single s»rij> ticket good for three games and worth at its face value $9 fold at prices all the way from S2O to S4O. At the big hotels there was little effort to Interfere with the speculators snd they mingled freely with the Kuests. and at the BeJlevue actually Mocked the entrances. The Wizard Board Popular; During World's Series Those who were unable to take in J the game at Philadelphia to-day I found muQil satisfaction in the game i played at Chestnut street auditorium in the Winard Board. The fact that i this board has been in Harrisburg! each year for four years, is the best evidence that it is the most popular player. The big crowd to-day also testified to that fact. This scoreboard will feature every play, suel) as are witnessed on the field when the Phils and Boston are struggling for the world's gonfalon. There is a direct wire connected from the grounds which reproduce the plays just as soon as they arc made. In fact, the actual running of the players, stealing of bases, also the squeese and other intircate plays will he given on the scoreboards which I have been installed in both ha3ls in a 1 position that everyone will be able to j witness the world's series in minia ture form. —Advertisement.
