There were numerous wide openings in the war group, Baldwin Locomotive overshadowing all others with a sale of 8,000 shares at 135 to 140 a maximum gain of 12. American Locomotive opened with 1500 shares at 69% to "0, a two-point advance. Railway Steel Springs rose 3 to 48%, Pressed Steel Car 2% to 75% and Tennessee Copper 4% to 65\ Colorado Fuel also became active at an advance of 2% to 66%.
