Aside front further weakness in Missouri Pacific, which declined a point to within a fraction of its lowest, but soon re covered, trading in stocks at to-day's opening was virtually featureless. Dealings were contracted, with slight gains in the better known is sues, including U. S. Steel, Amalga mated Copper and some of the more spcctaculative issues. U. S. Eddy Hy Associated Press Boston, .Juno 26.—Announcement of the completion of plana for a memorial monument to be erected at the grave of Mrs Mary Baker G. Eddy, founder of the Christian Solench Church. In Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, was made to-day. The memorial de signed by Egerton Swartwout, of New York, will consist of a circular open colonnade of eight columns, resting on a base of three steps and surrounded on the front by a circular platform from which a double flight of steps will lend to the edge of a small lake. The main entrance will be granite with inscriptions in white bronze. The de tail will be floral. A fund of SIIO,OOO has been raised for tl- erection and maintenance of the memorial. Old Circus Grounds Are Laid Out in Building Lots The newest real estate development In Harrisburg is that now being con ducted In the upper end of the city, and which marks the passing of the old Sixth street circus grounds. A rough estimate of the damage wrought in Red Cliffe by the tornado of last night fixed the total at $500,000. No lives were lost. Twelve persons were seriously injured. The storm seemed to strike the town from all directions. Buildings were leveled, roofs lifted, telephone poles blown down and when the storm had subsided the town was almost a total wreck. WILSON SPENDS QUIET DAY, Cornish, N. H.. June 26.—President Wilson, taking a brief vacation at the "Summer White House," spent this morning walking through the woods of his place with members of his fam ily and working in his study on corre spondence with Charles Swem, his stenographer. He planned to take a long automobile ride in the afternoon. He received no word from Washing ton. % NO EMBARGO AT PRESENT. Washington, June 26.—The United States is not considering the placing of an embargo at present on shipments to any belligerent country. New York. June 26.—The actual j condition of clearing house banks and trust companies for the week shows that they hold $193,253,030 reserve in excess of legal requirements. HAND INJURED BY LATHE Albert Hershey, of Mechanicsburg, a machinist's apprentice employed by the Valley Railways Company, sus tained a severe laceration of the right hand this morning while running a lathe at the car barns at Lemoyne. Hershey was taken to the Harrisburg hospital for treatment. LEG FRACTURED IN FALL W. P. Shaub, of Duncannon, is in the Harrisburg hospital suffering from a compound facture of the right leg, which he received yesterday in a fall while at work, painting a house. UNDERGOES OPERATION Bellett Lawson, of Paxtang, who was operated upon on Wednesday morning at the Hart man hospital. Is improving. Mr. Lawson is superinten dent of the Paxtang Cemertery, and is very well known around Harrisburg.
