A few weeks ago she re turned from a European school to be bridesmaid at her sister's wedding, at which this demure school girl figured in a most unusual manner. As one of the bride's attendants she was permitted to be present at some of the social events preliminary to the wedding and in shy little sister fashion made the acquaintance of the groom's ushers and friends. The nearer came the wedding day, the more gay and joyous grew the little school girl. Then came the wed ding rehearsals and finally the wed ding itself, an event of widespread social interest. After the ceremony in the long oak drawing rooms of the charming southern home there were feasting and dancing on the wide verandas and the lawn. The bride was about to don her traveling dress, the groom's car was standing in the porte cochero ready for the run to the station, when sud denly the demure little sister brides maid was missed. OWEN M. COPELIN, City Treasure*, Harrlsburg, Pa., June 19, 1918. r ' > The Telegraph Bindery Will Rebind Your Bible Satisfactory I ■——■ i ——aw y came the honk of a motor and up to the door spun a touring car with none other than the demure sixteen-year old and the groom's younger brother. The two dashed upstairs, paused at the top and looked back. "You'll need more rice/' called the young man. "Here's a chance for another bride!" cried the shy little sister, as she threw her bouquet of pink roses among the astonished assemblage. "We've been, msirried at the parson's!" Fitting, in cidentally. to the unusual part she played as bridesmaid and bride In one short, hour is the exquisite frock In which this saucy miss Is pictured. It is made after a suggestion she brought home from abroad and embodies all the crispness that is a delightful part of this June's bridesmaids' frocks. All in ethereal blue silk net. It covers a blue taffeta underdress corded to flare at the hein. The simple corsage Is bound by a soft girlish silk sash held with a spray of pink apple blossoms. This gathered skirt, flounce sewed to flounce, widens airily to the hem, which emphasizes the abbreviation now evident in all smart frocks, whether brides', bridesmaids' or every day folks'. The hat combines blue net and apple blossoms. So there were two bridal counles, instead of one. to leave for the train that afternon, and society in half a dozen cities is still gossiping about the shy little school girl bridesmaid who so suddenly bloomed Into a bride. 11
