The measure will provide, it is un derstood, for at least a dozen modern Incandescent lamps of 32 or 48-canille power and will be placed at. intersec tions and other points to be decided upon by the counciimen. The street lighting will be one of the first of the modern improvements to be intro duced by Dauphin county's baby bor ough. If the ordinance is passed work on the installation of the system will be started at once so as to provide light by the lirst of the year. Power for the lighting will be fur nished by the Harrisburg Light and Power Company from the city station, and the methods, the type of light standard, etc., anil the advantages of both strengths of incandescents and any other information on the question will be explained by Robert W. Hoy, commercial manager of the electric company. Paxtang will be the fifth town In this vicinity to consider the plan of obtaining power supplied by the Har risburg company, and there is a possi bility that a sixtii will be added to the list in the near future. Steelton set the pace. Dauphin followed, Penbrook was next, Ilighspire took up the prob lem, but has not yet definitely set tled it„ and Paxtang is to finish the list. The sixth town will likely be Lln glestown, as it is understood that the townspeople arc considering the plan of obtaining electric service for its streets from this city.
