Heavy Rains Falling
in War Zone Today

Parts. Sept. 17, 12.25 P. M.—Cold,
heavy rains are falling throughout the
fighting zone in Northern and East
ern France. Military observers are of
the opinion that this Inclement wea
ther will hamper the Germans In
greater degree than the French. It
will make the use of their heavy field
artillery impossible, except on the best
roads and Interfere with the progress
of the German supply trains, encum
bered with men made 111 by exposure.
