Keystone Guard Audit Approved.— Attorney B. F. Umbarger, auditor for the receiver for the Keystone Guard, an insolvent beneficial organization, filed his first and partial report in court to-day. Mac Williams, 2150 North Fifth street, was to-day appointed al derman of the Tenth ward by Gover nor John K. '"ener. It is understood that the new magistrate will take out his commission at once. Mr. Mac- Williams succeeds the late Alfred P. Rodgers. elected last Fall, but pre vented from serving because of ill ness. Mr. Mac Williams is a well-known contractor and builder, being the senior member of the firm of the Mac- Williams Construction Company. Mr. Mac Williams has been a resident of the Tenth ward for some time, is a prominent Republican, and his ap pointment was received with many ex pressions of commendation. The district attorney in charge has said she may not be permitted to testify before the grand jury unless she waives im munity. On the testimony of her sister, Mrs. Carman must largely rely. 'She has said she was in her room on the sec ond floor of her home when the shot which killed Mrs. Bailey in the doc tor's office on the ground floor was fired.
