VIGOROUS BUY.NG WAS
LACKING IN SESSION
Bullish Traders Did Not Venture to Take Initiative and
Market Fell Slightly
New York, March 24. The vigorous
buying of the preceding sessions was
lacking to-day and the market was
susceptible to pressure. Although
prices held well for a time, bullish
trailers did not venture to take the in
itiative and the market fell slightly.
Stocks, which recently have been vul
nerable, such as Lehigh, New Haven
and Steel, again reflected professional
selling, the effect of which was increas
ed by realizing sales.
Weakness again developed In some
of the low-priced stocks.
I Rumely Common, at 9, and Preferred,
at 25%, made new low lecords. Cen
tral Leather lost part of its recent
gain. Prices In general moved nar
rowly and there were Indications of
underlying strength, despite the easier
tone.
