EVANS & WATSON :—Gents—lt af fords us the highest satisfaction to state toyou that owing to the very protective qualities o, two of the Salamander Safes which we par ch:illy] of you some months since, we saved a large portion of our jewelry, books, papers, &c., exposed to the calamitous fire in Ran. stead Place, on the morning of the 11th instant. When we reflect that these Safes were loca ted in the fourth story °film building we occu pied; and that they fell subsequently into a leap of burning rums, where the mast concen tration of heat caused the brass plates to me we cannot but regard therpreservation • or thy valuable contents as most convincing proof . 0 the great security afforded by your Safes. lire shall take much pleasure in room mending them to men of business as a sure re liance against the tire.. . • GEO. In these fires, the HERRING'S SAFE, standing side by side with those advertised as "warranted to stand 10 per cent. more fire than Herrings,"came forth the acknowledged victor, not only preserving their contents in excellent order, but being themselves in a condition to go through another ordeal, while the bonged 'Salamanders" of other makers were badly used up in every instance, and in some cases their entire contents completely destroyed: To the public we would supply say, that, during the 14 years that Herring's Safe has been before them, more than two hundred have passed through accidental fires without the occurrence of a single loss. }Pe would, therefore, caution purchasers against the nusrepreSentation of interested par ties. The Herring's Patent is the only I , ire proof Safe made in this city which is protected by a Patent Right, and, we will guarantee it to resist more than double theamount of heat of any other Sate now known. Thee remove the °bet:motions of the stomach, bowels, fiver, and other . . organs of the body, and, by restoring their irregular action to health, correct, wherever they exist, soak derangements as ere the first causes of disease. An extensive trial of their virtues, by Professors, l'hysidans, and Patients, has shown cures of den- Recent diseases alma beyond belief, were they not substantiated by persons of such exalted position and character as to forbid the suepicion of nntmth. Their certificate* are published in my American Almanac, elfish the Agent* below asened ase pleased to furnish free to all inquirtmy. Annexed we give Diredions for thew use in tier complaints which they have been found to cure. Fox Coerroirense. Take one or two Pills, or such quantity as to gently move the bowels. Coe tiveness is frequently the aggravating oasis of Pump, and the cure of one complaint is the son of both. No person ma feel well while under a costive habit of body. Hence it should be, as ft tan be, promptly relieved. Fox D PPPPPP TA, which is sometimes the cause of Costiveness, and always uncomfortable, take rail& done from one to four to stimulate the stomach, and liver into healthy action. They will do it, and the heartburn, berlybewn, and sou/burn of dyspepsia will rapidly disappear. When it has gone, . don't forget what cured you. For a FOUL STOMACH, or Morbid Inadwn of A. Bolivia, which producesgeneral depression of the spirits and bad health, take from four to eight Pills at first, and smaller doses afterwards, until activity and strength is restored to the system. Fox NVIRTOVINTAS, SIC' HEADACITI, MAMBA, Pain is tAs Stomach, Bath, or Side, take from four to eight pills on going to bed. If they do not oper ate sufficiently, take more the next day until they do. These complaints will be swept out from the system. Don't wear these and. their kindred dim orders because your atomaelais foul. Fox ficaosvt.s, ESTIMBIAS, and all Dooms of the Shin, take the Pills freely and frequently, ter hem the bowels open. The eruptions willgenet. ally soon begin to diminish and disappear. Many dreadful ulcers and sores have been healed up by the purging and purifying effect of these Pills, and corns disgusting diseases which seemed to saturate the whole system have completely yielded to their Influence, leaving the sufferer in perfect health. Patients I your duty to society forbids that you should parade yourself around the world some& with pimples, blotches, ulcers, sores, and all or any of the unclean diseases of the ski n, because your system wants cleansing. To PURIFY THE BLOOD, they are the best meat. 'eine ever discovered. They should be taken freely and frequently, and the impurities which sow the seeds of incurable diseases will be swept out of the system like chaff before the wind. By this property they do as much good in preventing sickness as by the remarkable curet which they are making may where. LTV= COMPLAINT, JAMMU'S, and all Banner Affections, arise from sortie derangement—either torpidity, congestion, or obstructions of the Liver. -Torpidity and congestion vitiate the bile madman. it unfit for digestion. This is disastrons to the health, and the constitution is frequently ender mined by no other caul*. Indigestion is the symp tom. Obstruction of the duet which' eintnies the .bile into the stomach causes thee bile to overflow into the blood. This produces Jaundice. with a long and dangerous train of evils. Costiveness, er. alternately eostiveness and diarrhoea, prevails. Newish s ymptoms , languor, low spirits,w e ariness„ restlessness, and melancholy, with sometimes in ability to sleep, and sometimes great drowsiness; sometimes there is severe pain in the side; the skin and the white of the eyes become a greenish yellow; the stomaoh acid; the bowels sore to the touch ; the whole system irritable, with a tendency to fever, which may turn to bilious fever, bilious colic, bilious diarrhoea, dysentery, Sc. A medium dose of three ,or four Pills taken at night, followed by two or three in the morning, and repeated a few days, will remove, the cause of all these troubles. It is wicked to suffer such pains whenyou can cure them for 2..5 cents. Ibtatnesrism, Gorr, and an Ilfammatory AP. Iwo, are rapidly cured by the pun ying effects of . these Pills upon the blood and the stimulus which they afford to the vital Rrineipal of Life. For thew' and all kindred complaints they should be taken in mild doses, to move the bowels gently, but finely. As a DINNAR PILL; this is both' agmeable an& useful. No Pill can be made more pleasant to take r and certainly none has been made. more effectual te the purpose for which a dinner pill is, moployed. PREPARED . ny DR. J . C.
