Under' tho order fiom the War Depart ment, everybody within certain ages, with out re'erence to their physical condition, will be subject to a draft. Persons, therefore, who run to their physicians to get certificates of physical unfitness to4'should er arras," wane their time and breath in vain. - Thk New Company now forming in this ( place is steadily filling op Each rolonteer in tail company will receive a bounty from the county Treasury of $25, one month's pay in advar;ce,and the Government boon ty. iome townships have famished few il any men, but this inatier will be straight ened up by the Government, and those lowtiihips that have not sent their portion of mi;n('twi!l feel the weight of the draft It is (he intention that every district shall do Imr part in supplying men by volun . teericg. and if not ihe mode drafting is eore to be put in operation. I: may be very inconeeiiieoHor tome of our young farm ers to leave lor the tented fiel.l pome bright morn ing through the force of a draft, there fore they should encourage enlistments, and see that this compat-y is filled op, which will in all probability save Columbia coun ty from a draft. There are plenty of volun teers throughout the connty, and all that is wantud is a little encouragement from our influential farmers and the ranks are soon filled up. The principals con ceroid in the riot, at this place, on last Sat . prday a week, were arraigned belore Justice Vant'erslice, in Hemlock township, on Monday last, and a great portion of them were bosnd over in the sum of S300 each to appear before our next Qaarier Sessions, .on tbe 1st of September. Those bpnnd over as near as we recollect were Freas Brow n, Daniel Beckley, Morris Sloan, Peter ,Rithel Esq ,. James Ralston, 'Jorrh Reiswick, Johti Baruside, and other. There were qu'un a number of others brought before the Josti.ee for the same offence riotously as saulting William Eyer bat for the want of evidunce they were passed by for the pres ent. It appears that these parties are try ing to abuse the District Attorney, Mr. Little for simply doing his doty in ihia matter. The more they censure him in the matter of their arrest the closer he will apply him self to the case, inferreting out all the facts 'is the matter. Justice will be done, ve trust. Tha "boys," as Dr. John called ihent, iu his last issue, do not feel quite as .'bovish" as they appeared on tbe day of ?he not if we may judge from their down fast countenance.
