TO THOSE WHO WANT FARMS.
A Farm within the reach of every Man.
HpHE RIDGWAY FARM COMPANY has
has made arrangements by which all
who desire to settle ol purchase a home oan
do so.
The Farms consist of the best limestong
soil or the most superior quality for farming,
in a rapidly improving place, into which an
extensive emigration is now pouring. The
property is located in Elk Connty, Pcnnsyl.
vania, in the midst of a thriving population
of aome 10,000. The climate is perfectly
heallhv, and the terrible plague of tile west
fever is nnk'nown. It aleo has an abundance
of the licet quality of Coal and Iron. The
price to buy it out is from $3 to S2O per acre,
payable by installments, to be localeJ at the
time of purchasing, or a share of twenty-five
actcs entitling to Inealo the same for 8300,
payable fC per month or 12£ acres payable $1
per month. Discount for every sum o r SIOO
and under, paid in advance, and fur uvea SIOO
a die .ount of 10 per cent.
In considciing the advantages of emigrating
to this locality the following are presented:
FinsT—The soil is a rich limestone,caaanlo
of raising the heaviest crops, owing to whi.lt
this scilemont has obtained its present great
prosperity.
tSKCoati—lt is the rentre of ,he great North
West Coal Rude, and is destined soon to be
come one of the greatest business | laces in
the State. It will supply the great Lake mar
kel, (according to the population and travel
I lie greatest in the Union.) It has five work
aide veins of the best Bituminous coul, amount
rug in the aggregate io over 22 feet, which
makes 22 OUb tons of coal under euch acre.
This will make the land of inestimable value.
The eminent geologist Dr. Ghns. T. Jackson
of Boston, bae made a geological survey of the
land, and analysed the coal, die iron ore and
limestone. This report together with maps
will be furnished lo inquirers.
FocnTH—Three Railroads ore laid out thro'
this properly. The Sunhuiv and Duo Ituilroad
gives us a market for our coal to the lakes—it
runs from Erie lo l'hiiadelpliia. A large part
of the Road has been fiui-hed, and is now in
tunning order. A heuvy force is now working
from Erie towards our land in the western di
rectum, the means for the completion ol which
has been rat-cJ, it will soon be finished. The
Allegheny Valley "Railroad connects us with
New York, Boston and Fit'sburg. The Ve
nango Road connects us with the West.
Theie are already good Turnpike Roads
running through this property, various other
roads have been opened to accomniudutc the
emrgralion and settlement which has alioady
taken place.
There is tin opportunity equal lo it now of
fered to the man who wants lo provide himself
a home in an easy way, and make a settlement
where he can live in prosperity and independ
enre in a climate Perfectly Healthy.
No case of lever ever having been known to
occur in this settlement. It is not like going
to the liackwoodtt of the West, among perhaps
i.itoleront people, where there ie no society,
churches, or schools, where the price of land is
high, end where the emigrant, after betng used
to the healthiest climate in the world, lias to
endure sickness and pain, and perhaps ruins
his health and that of bis family. But here is
a thriving relllcmcnt having tlncc towns, con
taining churches, sehools, hotels, stores saw
indie, grist mills, and everything desired. There
is a tush market at hand. The lumber trade
last year amounted to ovor 'wo hundred million
tent of luit her. In a short lime, ■ wing to the
coal, it will licci me still mote valuable as a
number of iron wotks and manufactories will
soon be started; they are at present starting
litem extensively at Watren. EVPII for those
who do not wish to go there, the payments
are such that they can easily buy a farm to
save their rising families Irom want in the
future, or to gain a competence by the rise
which will take place in the value of lands.
By an outlay scarcely missed, a substantial
provision can be made.
Perrons should makeenrlv application,"ap
ply or write to E. Jeflrie*, Secretary, No. 135
Walnut Street, below Fifth, Philadelphia.—
Letters carefully answered giving full inlor

During twenty years' practice, I have re
stored to health over seventeen thousand pa
tients, who were suffering under ilie'Nrorst
forms of all of the above mentioned dis
eases, which guaramees nte hi promising a
perfect and must speedy core. Secret dis
eases arelhe greatest enemies to health and
happiness, as they are the first Cause of con
sumptiqn, scroltjla, &c., and should be • ter
ror to all nations on the earth ; for the dis
ease is becoming ao common, and treatment
so little understood, that a permanent enfe is
scarcely ever effected, as a majority of I the
cases lah into the hands of incompetent per
sons, who not only fail to cure the malady,
but ruin the constitution with corrosive sub
limate—a dangerous poison, a preparation
of mercury—which, with the remains of dis
ease in the system, produces many ot the
above named attentions, which finally termi
nate in consumption, and frequently a rapid
one ; but should it not cause death speedily,
and the victim to disease marries, the disease
is then conveyed Irom the peiibnt lo llio chit

with scrofula, afferlions of thA-ttitf, eyes,
throat, &e., and again terminefes in con
sumption, and consigns his victim lo an un
timely grove, between the ages of six months
and thirty-five years. Sell absitc is another
lormidable enemy to health ; ittiestroys the
nervous system, rapidly wasting away the
energies of life, causing mental derange
ment, preventing a propor development ol
the system, and disqualifying its viotomfor
marriage, society, business, and all earthly
happiness. Female Irregularities and other
