THE FOREST REPUBLICAN. J. C. wink. . Editor 4 Proprietor. WEDNESDAY, NOVKMBEK 1, 1905. Republican Ticket. STATU. State Treasurer, J. LEE PLUMMER. Supreme Court Justice, JOHN STEWART. Superior Court Judge, CHAKLES E.RICE. JAMES A. BEAVER. GEORGE B. ORLADY. COITNTV. Associate Judge, DAVID B. SHIELDS. Prothonotary, fc, J. C. GEIST. Sheriff, A. W. STROUP. County Commissioners, ANDREW WOLF, LEONARD AG NEW. A uditors, , W. II . STILES. CHAS. F. KLINESTIVER. Jury Commissioner, J. B. EDEN. A vote for the Republican ticket next Tuesday is a rote to put the Ueat men in office. Incidentally the President takes pains to remind the Senate that be can tell a railway rate regulating bill from a large ornamental bin IT. Don't stay at borne on election day, Republicans. Make it a point to get out early and cast your vote for the straight ticket, and then do a little good work for it besides. I A vote for J. C. Geist is a vote to re tain one of the most competent, careful, painstaking and obliging officials that has ever occupied the Prothonotary's office. Republicans are admonished to get to the polls and vote next Tuesday, and to bring with them their Indifferent neighbor if they have one. Let there be no stay-at-homes. Vote for David B. Shields for Assoc! ate Judgo, a man of highest character and standing, of unbiased mind, clear beaded intelligence and solid sense. Just the right kind of man foi a seat on the Bench. No oood excuse can be framed by any Republican In Forest county for not loy ally supporting every man on bis ticket next Tuesday. Complimentary votes often kill. Vote your ticket straight, Republicans. In the election to the throne of Norway it looks like a sure thing for Prince Charles of Denmark. One of the strange and interesting features of the election is that no "municipal ownership" candidate is running against him. If any one should ask his Republican friend to split bis ticket and give a vote to the opposition, ask him why? The Republican candidates are all trustwor thy and competent, fully as much so as any of the opposing candidates. Then why should they not receive their party's full support? Messrs. Stiles and Klinestiver for Auditors, and J. B. Eden for Jury Com missioner are safe msn to vote for. Their selection as cand idates on the Re publican ticket was undoubtedly due to a desire to get the best men for tbe places, and they will abundantly size up to the situation. From now till the polls close let every Republican do a little good bustling for his party ticket. There are no objection able candidates on the ticket and there Is no need to go outside the party to get good men to fill the offices. Support your ticket loyally, and you'll feet the better for it atter tbe election is over. If the taxpayers of Foiest county de sire their bu-ineea affairs to be safely; economically and carefully administered they will elect Andrew Wolf and Leon ard Agnew County Commissioners by rousing majorities next Tuesday. With the county's business in such safe bands there will be uo question of tbe very best outcome to the taxpayers. Give your united and loyal support to A. W. Stroup for Sheriff and aid in the election of one of Forest county's most worthy citizens. A man whose moral character is above reproach, and whose lifelong residence in bis community has been an honorable and upright one, a worthy Republican capable of tilling tbe office with credit to himself and tbe en tire satisfaction of the people. So genuine and sincere has been the cordial feeling extended toward President Roosevelt, in the balmy land of snnshine and flowers, that a Mississippi audience hissed Governor Vardaman fur viciously attacking him in a speech. That Is a cer tain sign that the President's conquest of the south has been complete, for the peo ple of Mississippi have been disposed to admire their Governor. When tbe south was oppressed with the conviction that President Roosevelt was not its friend, the state of Mississippi was the first to support the sentl'r.ents ol tho racial dem agogues and attained the leadership in the sectional animosity toward him. Bliz zard. Thkhu is every reason why tho Re publicans of Forest county should vote the straight county ticket at the election next Tuesday, and not one valid reason why they should not. The gentlemen comprising tho ticket are all good Re publicans, honest men, peculiarly lilted to fill the offices to which they aspiro with credit and honor to themselves and the county. They have proved their good citizenship by years of honest toil and busiuess ability; no taint of dishonor attaches to any of them and the commun ities in which they severally reside re spect them as among their most desirable residents. In short the ticket is as good a one as has ever been beforo tho people, and every loyal Republican can support it with a clear conscience. The candidates on tbe Republican county ticket are as follows: Associate Judge David B. Shields. Prothonotary J. C. Geist. Sberiff-A. W. Stroup. Commissioners Andrew Wolf, Leon ard Agnew. Auditors-Chai. F. Kliuestlver, W. II. Stiles. Jury Commissioner J. B. Eden. All good men and true. Not one name on tbe ticket but that is worthy tbe hearty, loyal support of every Republi can. Give it your earnest support and assist in the election of the best men to handle the affairs of the county. New Lake Discovered. Ottawa. Ont, Oct. 31.
