A B BO IT, of Tionesta, as a candidate for Delegate to the Republican State Con vention, to beheld April Uth. Mr. Bryan seems to be willing to take anything except advice. And yet lie claims to be iu iavor of reciprocity. Tim great question whether Governor Odoll or Senator Pla t is "Boss" In New York seems to (ill the Democratic camp with trouble. It is reported that Hobvin will sue the Mikado of Japan for infringement, as be bad taken out a patent on bis failure, in corking harbors. Sinck Japan does not consume Ameri can flour and Russia will not buy it, the war seems to be an Insufficient reason for the advance In prices. A bekvick pension bill Is being pushed strongly in Congress. It would provide pensions of 12 a month. The Grand Army is vigorously behind it It looks now as If there would be four teen or fifteen candidates voted for on the first ballot iu the Democratic national convention. A good many Slates seem to have a favorite son. Til 12 President is in a hurry to begin work on the Panama canal, but the He public of Colombia has sued the French Panama Canal Company and enjoined it against transferring the property. Mr. Bryan is really chivalrous in dis cussing current eveuts. He says, "Mr. Hearst is among those worthy to be men tioned." There is a comiescension'about this that is dolightful and that is no doubt appreciated. Sunator Tillman says that a farmer is a man who works with bis bands and an agriculturist is a man who works with his mouth. It any body ever knew Sen ator Tillman to work with bis hands, be will please stand up and be counted, TiiK punishment of postal frauds ought to help the Republican party. Our postal department Is tho greatest organi zation in the world, having grown from 75 postoflices in Franklin's time, to 70, OOo now, and from 300employes to 250,000. The percentage of fraud is amazingly small. Tub President's protest against race suicide seems to be effective. A Washington man named Winneber ger, who weighs only 115 pounds is the father of lour sets of twins and one set of quadruplets twelve babies in all. The President will no doubt shove him into tho census olVicejon a jiood salary. Tiikkk is prr.porty to the amount of ?2s:s,!MKi,KiN free from taxation in tho city of Washington more religious property than all the school houses. A crusade has begun for the taxation of churches. Dr. KVlon, Presbyterian, says, "We shall rejoice in being permitted to follow the example of our Iord, who paid bis taxes like a gentleman." KvKRYiiohY's Ma.ia.ink calls aloud for a parcels-post and says Us coming is only a question of a short time. Why should tim American poople be tyranized over by lour ex pruss companies which i n-si-t on monopolizing the carrying busi ness? We ought to bn aide to send ten or twenty poinds l,y mail, as the Ger mans, KniilMi, French and many other pe 'iles do. Hoptiblirnr. Primary Elccliom. Take some reliable remedy for it TO-DAY and let that remedy be Dr. Bosuhoe's German Syrup, which has been in use for over thirty-live years. A few doses of it will undoubtedly relieve your cough or cold, and its continued use lor a lew days wlil cure j-6u completely.
