Siowoktii, Chairman Republican Co. Com. Republican Primary Rules. RULES GOVERNING THE REPUB LICAN PRIMARY ELECTIONS OF FOREST COUNTY. 1. The candidates for tho several offices shall have their names announced in one or more of the county papers at least three weeks previous to the Primary Meetings stating the ofllen, and subject to the action of the party at the said primary meetings. 2. Tho voters belonging to tho Republi can party in each township and borough, shall meet on a day to be designated bv the County Committee, at tho usual place of holding spring elections, at 2 o'clock P. M., and proceed to elect ono person for Judge, and two persons for Ciorks who shall form a Board of Elections to receive votes and determine who aro the proper persons to vote, and who shall hold the polls open until 7 o'clock P. M. After the polls areopenod, the candidates announced shall be balloted for; the name of each person voting shall be written on a list at the time of voting, no person being allow ed to vote more than once lor tho tamo oilice. 3. After the polls are closed the board shall proceed to count the votes that each candidato has received, and make out the returns accordingly, to be certified by tho Judgo and attested by the Ciorks. 4. The Judge or ono of tho Clerks ap pointed by tho Judge of the respective election district, shall meet at the Court Houso, in Tionesta, on tho Tuesday follow ing the Primary Meetings at 2 o'clock P. M., having the returns and a list of voters, and the person having the highost number of votes for any oflieo, shall be declared the nominee for the Republican party. 5. The Return Judges shall be compe tent to rejoet by a majority, tho returns from any district where thoro is evidence of fraud, either in the returns or other wise, aud shall reject them where there is evidence of three or more persons voting at tho Primary Mewling who aro not Re publicans. U. Any two or more poisons having an equal number of votes for the same oilice, the Judges ahall proceed to ballot for a choice, the person having the highest number to be the nominee. 7. The Return Judgesshallappoint Con ferees Representative, Senatorial and Congressioual--whose acceptance of said appointment shall be a pledge to support the person who may receive tho largest number of votes east for that offlco. 8. The Retuin Judges may at any time change the modo ami manner of selecting candidates as they may bo instructed by the oeople at their primary meetings, duo notice being given by tho County Com mittee.
