His seat in that body has therefore been declared vacant, and the State thus spared the shame and disgrace involved in the possibility that he might by some accident be enrolled on the list of her lawmakers. Circulars are being sent to soldiers in different sctions of the country by Westerd Agents, who set forth that for ten dollars 160 acre of good land can be secured without the formality of oc cupying it for four years, lees the time of service in the army, as provided by law. The Land Commissioner states that the circulars are for ' the purpose of deception. Soldier will therefore take timely warning;'. ; An effort is organizing to strike an other blow at the standard monopol f ,by building a pipeline 'to :, Pittsburgh and diverting traffic away from the Standard at Cleveland.. This Legislature, with all the Demo cratic promises which have been so lavishly scattered about, seems to make no greater progress in legisla tion than others that have gone befoie. Tho one hundred days fixed by law as the limit, are nearly up, and hut few bills have been passed, far fewer than bad gone through at a corresponding date at the last session. The pro gramme on the part of the Democratic eaders is to hurry through the appro priation bills and pass the Democratic apportionment in the House and send t to the Senate with all its iniquities. Then, when the Senate shall insist upon amending it and giving it a semblance of fairness, the purpose is to adjourn, eave the matter at issue and have an extra session of the General Assembly called by the reform Governor for the purpose of making an apportionment of the State. As under the Constitu tion the Legislature can sit sixty days 10 extra session, and as the full time allowed will doubtless be spent in fruitless attempts to get up a satisfac tory apportionment, the reform mem bers of the present House will be able at the end of their labors to pocket $1,600 of salary, which is more than has been paid to the members of any General Assembly since the provisions of the new Constitution requiring biennial sessions went into effect. If disease has entered the system the only sure and quick way to drive1 it out is to purify and enrich the blood. These simple facts are well known, and the highest medical authorities agree that nothing but iron will restore the blood to its natural condition ; and also that all the iron preparations hitherto made blacken the teeth, cause head ache, and are otherwise injurious. Brown'sIron Bitters will thor oughly and quickly assimilate with the blood, purifying and strengthen ing it, and thus drive disease from any part of the system, and it will not blacken the teeth, cause head ache or constipation, and is posi tively not injurious. Gents: Upon tho recommend tion of a friend I tried Bkown's Iron Hitters at a tonic and re storative for my daughter, whom 1 was thoroughly convinced was wasting away with Consumption. Having lost three daughters by the terrible disease, under the care of eminent physicians, 1 was loth to believe that anything could arrest the progress of the disease, but, to any great surprise, before my daugh ter had taken one bottle of Brown's laoN Bitters, she began to mend and now Is quite restored to former health. A fifth daughter began to show signs of Consumption, and when the physician was consulted he quickly said " Tonics were re quired and when informed that the elder sister was taking Brown's Iron liin rrs, responded "that ia good tonic, take it."
