Florence Dalk Frelman. Oil Meeting. A meeting of tho stockholders of the Citizens Oil Association of Tionesta, wag held last evening at the Court House. There wus a fair attendance. G. W. Robinson was called to tho chair, and A. 15. Kelly was appointed Secretary. S. II. Haslet was called upon to state the object of the meeting, which was, to consider the propriety of aban doning the well, or putting it deeper, Moved by Jos. Grove that the well be abandoned. This occasioned a general discussion, at the close of which Mr. Grove withdrew his mo lion. ihe manager were instructed to circulate a subscription paper for the purpose of procuring funds to drill tli9 well to the depth of six hundred feet. Adjourned to meet on Saturday evening next at the same place, At present the prospect is that the well will be put down two hundred feet further. By the Clarion papers, we notice that Mr. T. J. Payue, of Farmingtoii township, is a candidate for the Dem ocratic uomiuation for Sheriff of Cla rion county. Now Clarion is a terribly Democratic county, and will probably elect a Democratic Sheriff.
