Barron, of Somerset township, met with a very pain ful accident one day last week. After Judge Barker's able and exhaustive charge every one who heard it was satisfied as to what tbe verdict would be. No civil case tried in our coun ty courts for many years has attracted more attention or been watched with a rreater degree of interest than was this. The attor neys on both sides were the ablest at the bar and that the case was ably and skilfully tried goes without saying, but the law and equities both appeared to be on Mr. Ruppel's aideaud be won. S. Gov't Report. Mai 11 XV ABSOLUTELY PURE A BULLET IN HIS HEART. Marlon Cessna, Son of the Bedford Statesman Commits Suicide. With a revolver he had borrowed from friend, Marion Cessna, son of Hon John Cessna, tbe venerable Bedford county states man, Thursday fired a bullet through bis bean and expired almost instantly. Tbe shooting occurred at tbe office of tbe Bedford Electric Lght Company, of which Mr. Cessna was manager. Tne tragedy was first known to D. S. Horn, a young attorney, whose otUce is ia the same building and on the same floor as that of tbe Electric Com pany. Mr. Horn beard three shots fired and immediately ran to Cessna's oHlx and tried to o;-en the door. He found it locked. He summoned assistance and broke into the room. Mr. Cessna was foind lying on the floor holding in hia band a revolver with which be bad fired the shots into bis breast. One bullet pierced tbe heart. He was un conscious and died a few minutes later. Oa Wednesday be told the secretary of tbe Electric Light Company that if anything happened to bim all the money belonging to the company except 1 9 J would be found at the bank. At noon Thursday be borrowed a revolver at a watchmaker's shop, saying he wanted it for burglar who bad been prowling arouad bis bouse. After eating dinner Cessna went tohisoffije, where he balanced up bis ac counts and wrote out a check for the amount due the company. Every cent of his indebtness thus being paid, the self-doomed young man prepared for death and speedily met it. His friends had noticed that he bad been low-spirited of lale, and worried at the least thing tbat went wrong at the electric light plant. Several days ago be said to the en gineer of the plant that if matters continued ta go wrong about tbe plant be would de stroy himself. He repeated tbe same thing to bis physician, and said tbat tbe only thing tha kept bim from it was his wife and child. He bas also been brooding over the illness of his distinguished father, who bas been seriously ill for some months, and whose friends are alarme i for fear the act of b:s son may prove fata! to him.
