By noon the grounds had lie come so muddy aud the running course in such bad condition that it was evident that the trotting and exhibitions in the ringmusl fail. The exhibitors, however, took in the condition ot affairs and saw the society would not be able lo pay the pre miums ottered, a meeting ol the oihccrs Was called and a resolution passed that the judges proceed to award the preu i mis aud tnat all premium-J be paitl iu tickets for next years fair, and that no exluuitor re ceive more than one latuily ticket as pay ment in lull for all premiums so awarded. This resolution when announced to the public was received wkh cheers. Intense anxiety was manifested by the farmers who were exhitittors to have some step la ken to save the society from tmnkruptcy at any future fairs to be hel l.
