REASONS WHY THE 'AMERICAN WATCH Made at WAIrElAJI, ITIass IS THE BEST. It is made on the best principle. Its frame is com posed of SOLID PLATES. NO jar can interfere w ith the harmony ot it! working and no sudden miock can damage lis machinery. Every piece is made aid fin- jsDed bv machinery (itself famous for its iiovelty, as well as for its effectiveness) and is therefore properly male. The wMch is what all mechanism thould be -ACCURATE, SIMTLE, STRONG AND ECONOMI CAL Except some high grades too costly for gener al use, foreign watches are chiefly made ty women anJ boys. Such watches are composed of feveral hundred pieces, screw ed and riveted together, and re quire constant repairs to keep them in any kind of order. All j rrsons who have carried "ai;crcsl"'lep mes"and "Erlish Patent Levers," are pcifectly well gvs are of the truth of this ttatcment. At the beginning of our enterprise, moie than ten years ago, it w as our firs-t object to m?.ke a thorough ly cood low-priced watch for the million, to take the place of these foreign impositions the refuse of for eign lactones which were entirely unsaleable at borne and perfec tly worthiess everyw here. IIo well we have accomplished this may be nu- derstood irom the tact, that alter so many years of trial, we now make MORE THAN ONE-IU LF OF ALL THE WATCHES SOLD IN TIIE UNITED STATES And that no other have ever given such uni versui sat if.iction. While this department of our business is ron.inucd w ith increased facilities for perfect w ork, wesreat present engaged in the manufacture of watch es of the HIGHEST GRADE KNOWN TO CHRONO METRT, uncqualed by anything hitherto made by our selves, unsurpassed by anything made in the world. For this purpose w e have the synplcst facilities. We have erected an addition to our main buildings ex- prosiy for this branch of our business, and have filled It with the best workmen in our service. New ma chines and appliances have been constructed, which perform their woik with consummate delicacy and exactness. The choicest and most approved materi als on'v are used and we challenge comparison be tween this grade of our work ;ind the finest imported chronometers. We do not pretend to sell our atehes for less money than foreign wan lies, but we doasseit wuao-ii lear 01 conimaicion thai lor the same money our product ts nioomnarntrivsiinerior. All our t..h. s, of whatever grade, are fully warranted and this warrantee is pood at ail times againtt us or our agent i a all parts of the world. CALTIOX. Recent cases of sickness will often be cured Ly the effect of C or 8 Brandreth's Pills, which, when the operation is full and com plete, leave the Llood as free from poisonous and unhealthy matter as that of a new-Lorn labe. In colds, inflammatory diseases, and even in cholera, their use restores to health soancr than all other remedies, because they take from the Lload and bowels those mat ters upon which pains, cramps, and aches depend for continuance. Captain Isaac Smith, of Sing Sir"-, says, thirty of Brandreth's Pills, taken according to directions, cured him of a very severe bronchial auction after other means had foil ed, and he wishes his numerous friends to know the fact. T BEG leave to call your attention to an I entirely new quality of Wire, known as W h;te Wire, possessing a coating which pre vents it from even corodmg, cr turning from its uniform whiteness, durjngany number of years, and on which Letters Patent have been secured. It has been found to be the only article suitable for a clothes line, except the old fashioned rope or cord, which always gives so much trouble and annoyance, by breaking, rotting out and discoloring clothes, and by being obliged to put it up and take it down every time used. With this Wire Clotlies Line you have none of these annoy, ances, cs when it is once put up it gives you no m're trouble until the stakes or posts to which it is attached rot down. After usinjr it, we are confident you will fully corroborate the statements of thousands of others in its praise. Over 100,000 lines have already been sold, and every family should and will have one. It will not change though you may keep it under water for any length of twne, hence you see it cannot discolor clothes like a rope or cord. Sold, Wholesale and Retail, by T. W.
