Singular Death.
A singular and sad accident occurred a few
Hays since to a Mr. Pcllett, an old and much
Respected citizen of Palmyra township, PiKC
Co., which resulted in his death. He had
recently lost four of his catle by poison or
ome other unknown cause, and while en
gaged in skinning them run a small briar in
fiis'arm. lie thoughtlessly took the knife
that he had been using in skinning the cat
lie, to take it out, thereby innocclating him
self with the poison from the animals. His
rm at once commenced to swell, baffling
fell the efforts of medical skill, and, a few
tiays after the occurrence, he died.
