3c THE Only Discovery Worthy of any confidence for RESTORING THE BALD AND GRAY. Many, since the great discovery of Prof Wood, have attempted not only to imitate his restorative, but profess to have discovered rgomolliing that would produce results iden tical; but they have all come and gone, be jnfr carried away by the Wonderful results ol Prof. Wood's preparation, and have been ' forced to leave the field to Us resistless sway Rcad the following: Bath, Maine, April 18th, 1859. Prof. 0. J. Wood &, Co: Gents.: The Id ler I wrote you in 1850 concerning your val uable Hair Restorative, and which yon nave published in this vicinity and elsewhere, has given rise to numerous enquiries touching nhe facts in the case. The enquiries are. first, is it a fact of my habitation and name, ns staled in the communication; scconu, is n true of all therein contained: third, does my hair still continue to be in good order and ol natural color I To all I can and do answer invariablv vcs. My hair is even better than in nnv staire of mv life for 40 years pnj-t, more'solt, thrifty, and better colored; the same is true of my whiskers, and the only cause why it is not generally true, is that the substance is washed off by frequent ablution of the face, when if care were used by wi ping the face in close connection with the whiskers, tile same result will follow as the hair. I have been in the receipt nf a great number of letters from all parts of New .Log Innd, asking me if my hair still continues to be pood ; as there is so much fraud in the manufacture and sale of various compounds as well as this, it has, no doubt been basely imitated and been used, not only without any good effect, but to absolute injury. J have not used any of your Restorative of any ac count for n)ine month?, and yet my hair is as good as ever, and hundreds have examined it with surprise, 'as I am now 61 years old and not a gray hair in my head or on my face; and to prove this fact, 1 send you a Iock o mv hair taken off the past week. I received your favor of two quart bottles last summer, fnr which I am verv grateful: I irave it to my friends and thereby induced them to try it, many were, skeptical until after trial, and then purchased and used it wun universal success. I will ask a favor, that you send me a lest by which I can discover fraud in the Restorative, sold by many, 1 fear, with out authority from you. A pure article wil insure s-uccess, and I believe where good ef fects do not follow, the failure is caused by the impure 'article, which curses the inventor of the good. I deem it my duly as hereto fore, to keep you apprised of the continued effect on my hair, as I assure all who enquire of me of my unshaken opinion of its valuable results. 1 remain, dear sir, vours, A. C. RAYMOND Prof. O. J. Wood: Dear Sir. I would cer tainly be doing you a great injustice not to make known to the world, the wonderiui, as well as the unexpected result I have expe rienced from using one bottle of your Hair lienor., tive. After using every kind of Re storatives extant, but vvilhout success, and finding my head nearly destitute of hair, I was finally induced to try a bottle of your Hair Restorative. Now, candor and justice compel me to announce to whoever may read this, that 1 now possess a new and c-eauurui growth of hair, which I pronounce richer and handsomer than the original was. I will here take occasion to recommend this valu - able remedy to all who may feel the uecessi wty of it. Respectfully yours, 'REV. S. ALLEN BROCK. P. S. This testimonial ot my approbation for your valuable medicine (as you are aware oft is unsolicited: but it you think it worthy a piace among the rest, insert if yon wish; if not destroy and say nothing. Yours, &c. Rev. S. A. B. The Restorative is put uo in bottles of three sizes, viz: large, medium, and small; the small holds a pint, and retails for one dollar per bottle; the medium holds at least twenty per cent, more in proportion llmi the small, retails for two dollars per bottle; the large holds a quart, 40 per cent, more in pro -portion, and rciails for S3.
