ELIJAH SCHUG. Stroud tp.ept. 2, 1859. . BLANK DEEDS' 'Tor-sale at .this sOffice is h constitutional1 disease, a corruption of tho -. blood, by which this fluid becomes vitiated, ; weak, and poor. Being in. tho circulation, it pervades tho whole oouy, anu may uuni, out m disease on any part of it. No organ js free from its attacks, nor is .there ono wmcn it may not destroy. The scrofulous, taint is variously caused dy mcrcunai tustmsu, iu iivmj;, uKmvivu u unhealthy food, impure air, tilth, and filthy habits, tho depressing vices, and,, above all, by thc venereal infection. Whatever be its origin, it is hereditary in tho constitution, descending "from parents to children unto the third and fourth generation ; " indeed, it seems to be the rod of llim who says, "I will visit the, iniquities of the 'fathers upon their children." Its effects commence by deposition from the blood of corrupt or ulcerous matter, which, in the lungs, liver, and internal organs, is termed tubercles; in tho glands, swellings ; and on tho surface, eruptions or sores. This fcul corrup tion, which genders in the blood, depresses "tho. energies of life, so that scrofulous constitutions not onlv suffer from scrofulous complaints, but thev have far less power to withstand the attacks of "other diseases: consequently, vast numbers perish by disorders which, although not scrofu lous in 'their nature arc still rendered fatal by this taint in tho system. Most of the consump tion which decimates the human f.unily has its origin directly in this scrofulous contamination ; and many destructive diseases of the liver, kid neys, brain, and, indeed, of all the organs, arise from or are aggravated by the Same caufrc. One quarter of all our people are scrofulous ; their persons arc invaded by this lurking infec tion, and their health is undermined by it. To cleanse it from tho system we must renovate the blood by an alterative medicine, and invigorate it by healthy food and exercise. Such a medi cine" we supply in AYEE'S Compound Extract of Sarsaparilla, the most effectual remedy which the medical skill of our times can devise for this every-wher'o prevailing and fatal malady. It is combined from the most active rcmcuials that have been discovered for the expurgation of this foul disor der from the blood, and the rescue of the sys tem from its destructive consequences. Hence it should be employed for the euro of not only scrofula, but also 'those other affections which arise from it, such as Ekuptivk and Sinx Dis eases, St. Anthony's Pike, liosn, or Enr sircvs, Pimi'les, Pustules, Blotches, Blaixs and Boils, Tumors, Tetter, and Salt Rheum, Scald Head, Ringworm, Rheumatism, Syphilitic and Mercurial Diseases, Dropsy, Dyspepsia, Debility, and, indeed, all Complaints arising from Vitiated or Impure Blood. The popular belief in " impurity of the blood," is fouuded in truth, for scrofula is a degeneration of the blood. The particular purpose and virtue of ihis Sarsa parilla is to purify and regenerate this vital fluid, without which sound health is impossible in contaminated constitutions. Ayer's Cathartic Pills, FOR ALL THE PURPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIO, arc so composed that disease within the rnngo of their action can rarely withstand or evade them. Their penetrating properties search, and cleanse, and invigorate every portion of the human or ganism, correcting its diseased action, and restor ing its healthy vitalities. As a consequence of these properties, the invalid who is bowed down with pain or physical debility is astonished to find his health or energy restored by a remedy at once so simple and inviting. Xot only do they cure the evcry-day com plaints of every body, but also mairy foraiidnblo aiul dangcrous diseases. The agent below named is pleased 10 furnish gratis my American Alma nac, containing certificates of their cures, and directions for their use in the following com plaints : Costiveness, Heartburn, Headache aris ing from a disordered Stomach, Nausea, Indiges tion, Pain in and Morbid Inaction of the Bowels, Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Jaundice, and other kindred complaints, arising from a low state of the body or obstruction of its functions. Ayer's Cherry Pectoral,- TOR TnE RAPID CURE OF Coughs, Colds, Influenza, Hoarseness, Cronp, Bronchitis, Incipient Consump tion, and for the relief of Consumptive Patients in advanced stages of the dis ease. So wide is the field of its usefulness, and so numerous are the cases-of its cures, that almost every section of country abounds in persons, publicly known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate diseases of tho lungs by its use. When once tried, its superi ority over every other medicine of its kind is too apparent to escape observation, and where its virtues arc known, the public no longer hesitate what antidote to employ for the distressing raid dangevous affections of the pulmonary organs that arc incident to our climate. While many inferior remedies thrust upon the community have failed and been discarded, this has gained friends by every trial, conferred benefits on the afdicted they can never forget, and produced cures too numerous and too remarkable to bo forgotten. Ayer's Sarsapaiilla, A compound remedy, in which vsro havo labored xo proauce tne most cnecmai alterative mat can. be made. It is a concentrated extract ot l'ara Sarsaparilln. so combined with other substances of still greater alterative power as to afford an effective antidote for tho diseases Sarsaparilla 13 reputed to cure. It is believed that such a rem edy is wanted by those who suffer from Stru mous complaints, and that ono which ml ac complish their cure must prove of immense scr vico to this large clas3 of our afflicted fellow citizens. How completely thi3 compound will do it has been proven by experiment on many of tho worst cases to be found of the following complaints : SCROFULA A3TD SCROFULOUS COiTPLAIXTS, Eruptions axd EnurTivn Diseases, Ul ceus, Pimples, Blotches, Tumors, Salt Rheum, Scald Head, Syphilis asd Syphi litic Affections, Mercurial Disease, Dropst, Neuralgia or Tic Douloureaux, Debility, Dyspepsia akd Indigestion-, Erysipelas, Rose, or St. Anthony's Eire, and indeed the whole class of complaints arising from Impurity- of the Blood. This compound will be found arcat pro moter of health, when taken in the spring, to ex pel the foul humors which fester in the blood at that season of tiro year. By the timely expul sion of them many rankling disorders aro nipped in die bud. Multitudes can, by the aid of thij remedy, spare themselves from the endurance of foul eruptions and ulcerous sores, through which the system will strive to rid itself of corruptions, if not assisted to do this throngh tho natural channels of the body by an alterativo medicine. Cleanse out tho vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores ; cleanse it when you find it is obstructed and sluggish in the veins ; cleanse it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even where no particular disorder is felt, pcoplo enjoy better health, and live longer, for cleansing the blood. Koep tho blood healthy, and all is -well; but with this pabulum of life disordered, there can be no lasting health. Sooner or later something must go wrong, and the great macluacry of lite is disordered or overthrown. Sarsaparilla has, and deserves much, tho repu tation of accomplishing these ends. But the world has been egrcgiously deceived by prepara tions of it. nartlv because tho drus alone has not all the virtue that is claimed for it, but more be cause many preparations, pretending to be con centrated extracts ot it, contain but little ot tuo virtue of Sarsaparilla, or any thing else. During late years the public have been misled by largo bottles, pretending to give a ouart of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of these have been frauds upon the sick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but often no curative properties whatever. Hence, bitter and painful disappointment has followed the nse of the various extracts of Sarsaparilla which flood the market, until tho name ltsclt is justly despised, and has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still we call this compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy which rests upon it. And we think we have ground for believing it has vir tues winch are irresistible by the ordinary run ot the diseases it is intended to cure. In order to secure their complete eradication from the svs tern, the remedy Bhould be judiciously taken ac cording to directions on the bottle. TRErARED BY 2H. J. . AYEE & CO., LOWELL, MASS.
