Harrisburg, May 10, 1854. f By the 43d section of the "Act for the reg ulation and continuation of the Common School System," passed May 8, 1854, it is made the duty of the Superintendent of Com mon Schools, to give notice by publication in two newspapers in each county for three suc cessive weeks, to the School Directors of the several counties, that they are to meet in convention at the Seat of Justice of the prop er county, on tho first Monday of June next, and select viva voce, by a majority of the whole number of Directors present, one per son of Literary and Scientific acquirements and of skill and experience in the art of teaching, as County Superintendent for three succeeding school years.
