years from April 14868.

Works it pledged for the payment of the Bonds and
Coupons, and the latter, are by law made recelvnble
for Water Rents, add the Act authorizing the Loan
creates a SINKING FUND of net less than two
per cent. of all bonds which may have been issued In
pursuance of-said Act. The Councils are bound to
appropriate annually_ a sufficient, sum for interest,
and not less than two per cent. of all bonds which
may have issued to golnto the Sinking Fund.
:The'proceeds of these Bonds can only be used for
the,extenalon and Improvement of the City-Water
Torim, - which will increase.the, revenue, ;Kittle at
present,it is ;at grenter,than is required to-insure
the payment of .interest and retirement, of the
Bonds.

earnings of the road shall be applied to such Pay
ment.
The Union Mettle Bonds are for $l,OOO each, and
have coupons attached. They have thirty years to
run, and bear annual interest, payable on the first
days of January and Linty, at the Company's Office
in the City of. Noir York, at tlie rate of Ali per cent.
