other vehicles, who shall neglect or refuse to pro
cure it license as aforesaid, shall be subject to a pen
alty of not.less than ten per cent. for every thirty
days the same remains unpaid. after - the Ist day of
May of each year. All Livery Stable keepers falling
to make the return required in the 341 Section of this
ordinance, shall, in additiOn to the foregoing, -be
subject to a penalty of not exceeding fifty doLlars,
all of which penalty shall be recovered before the
Mayor, or one of the Aldermen of said cltv, by sum
mary conviction: and It shall be the duty of the
Chief of Police to seek out ell:persons who have
failed to comply with any of the provisions of this
ordinance and report the same to the city Treasn
urer, for winch service lie shall receive the sum of
flftreents in each case, to be taxed and collected as
part of the costs, upon conviction as aforesaid.
The penalties ' for non-compliance with the Ordi
nance will be strictly enforced after the above date.
