Dispatches were received m the District Attorney of New Orleans giving the essential facts. The statement that Walker took arms and monitions of war with him from that port, is believed to be erroneous, —nevertheless, a disposition is manifested to blame the Federal officers at New Orleans for permitting him to elude their vigilance. It was admitted that the Government can take no ad ditional steps for the arrest of Walker's expedi tion, audit is hoped that he would be intercepted on the high seas by eitherthe steamer Fulton or, the aloop-of-war Sarategii. The President maintains the right to seize him anywhere at sea, but will not order his molestation if once ho gets within any foreign jurisdiction. The New Orleans dispatch, that the steamer Fulton was in the Mistiazippi River when Walk er embirked, must be,an error. The lastletters received .from the Commander, dated the let of November, amazon° having ltdfiled his orders there, and that he would depart immediately for Chiriunk - It. is scarcely possible that she still remained in the river on the 11th. There is little doubt that the Fulton was on the Costa Rican coast at the time, and Walker is cause .quently in no danger from her. Ile has at least nine hundred men with him, and his ren dezvous, instead of being near Mobile, as was supposedly the President, is in the Carribbcan Bea, and has never even been suspected: His friends here are confident now that his way is perfectly clear.
