At the Mass Conven tion there were between four hundred and fire hundred men present, and this number was coba posed of persons from every section of Kansas —The North, the South, the East and the West. After considerable discussion, in which Gov. Robinson, Gen. Lane, and Judge Smith, advo cated the policy of voting at the October elec tion, although it was appointed under the bogus laws, and James Redifath, Judge Conway, Wm. Phillips and Rev. Daniel Foster, opposed voting: the following amended report of the Basil:teas Committee was unanimously adopted.
