Dr. Carothers respectfully presented their petition and advocated the grant : • which they asked for. Ile neither spoke against ' the ten hour lair, or required its appeal, or voted for its repeal, or opposed it:. in any form or ehape. The array of Horses was large, and we noticed some very excellent animals among them. Some of the old Hunker papers appear to have been bought out by the Barnburners. Chas. O'Con ner, 11. S District Attorney for Now York city, refined to attend the Soft ratification meeting in that city, and sent a letter, declining to eapport the Soft ticket isr the State administration. Judge O. C. Bronson, a veterean Democrat, and the Collector of the Port, sent a similar letter The administration at Washington support the Soft, and O'Connor and Bronson will hove to walk the plank. The pro slavery Hunkers ore out-bid and oat-voted by the Barnbarner laetion, under the lead of the Vati Burros. Dix is more trusted by the pronlavery admin istration than Diet:aeon.
