Archbald yesterdiy cleared up the list In naturalization court and It adjourned until Mondav, when other applications will bo heard. About 400 men were granted papers. It was tho largest term since the new rules about naturalizing went into ef fect. Nearly nil of tho men naturalized vein cither Austrlans, Hungarians, Poles, Russians, Italians or Swedes. Tlio percentage of Welsh, Irish, Eng lish. Scotch and Germans was very small, which would seem to Indicate that tho emigration from theso coun tries to this region has nlmost entirely ceased. Of the men naturalized during the week the natives of Poland were. In tho majority. Tlioy noV represent a considerable percentage of the popu lation of tills valley. From Olyphant came a large number of men who call themselves Red Rus hians. They were among the best in formed and most intelligent examined during tho week nnd showed a veiy thorough knowledge of our Institutions and forms of government. There are in tho neighborhood of 1,000 of tho Red Russians in one settlement at Oly phant and they are to bo found no wheio else in the county. They came from a part of Austria known as Red Russia, and though they are- sur rounded on all sides, and have been for centuries, by people who speak the, various dialects of tho Austrian tongue, theso speak Russian of nlmost the same puprity that Is heard in Moscow.
