The Rus sian choir of mixed voices were present and sang three rhotuses during the entei tulnment. They had not been pteviously heard and their excellent singing was a surprise to the audience. Two parties competed, the Russian quartette und one led by William Will iams The contest was so close that the adjudicator wisely divided the prize between both quartettes.
