Two alarms of fire wero sounded at this place Monday night, the first alarm at 7.45 was caused by the burning of a large oil house owned by the Ontario and Western Railway company and located near Wlnton depot. It was en tirely destroyed. The origin of the Mames was suppised to be a spark from ft passing locomotive. The second alarm sounded nt 8.30 when flames were seen Issuing from a large bam owned by Mr. Charles Walllck, located be tween Mnln nnd Hickory streets. The flames had gained grent headway be fore they were discovered und It was some time before the alarm sounded on account of the lire nlarm wires iioln" severed, no doubt by some mnllcIoi!3 person. The Wilson Fire company re SDonded promptly to the nlnrtn nnd soon had the llamcs under control. The structure was totally ruined, as was a small barn ndjoulnlug owned by Mr. J. D. Peck. Mr. Walilek's son, Ed ward, had a horse, several wasrons, harnesses, sleighs, etc , in the barn. Ah soon as the flames were discovered !EilvK&SiV!g $&53ES3SO mS- 11 wSeg No Effect Without A Cause. This is true, yet for many ftcs no one could account for tho mysterious and excruciating pains that, seemingly without sufficient cause, tortured the hapless sufferer, and oftentimes twisted his limbs out of nil semblance to humanity. Science, however, has at length solved this problem, and has proclaimed that rheumatism, in all its varied phases, is duo to uric acid in the blood. Hence, when one is afflicted with rheumatism he knows there is too much ncid in his blood. How does this happen. It must be the blood's purifiers, the liver, and especially the kidneys, are out of order and do not properly perform their functions. . Hut how can they be restored to their normal healthy state? Hundreds of thousandsof grate ful, and now healthy, people will endorse the answer: Use Warner's Safe Cure, which will check an excess of acid, dissolve the acid deposit, and produce a normal and healthy condition of the kidneys and liver, and then, the cause being removed, the rheumatism will mtickly disappear. every effort was made to rescue the horse from the burning building. Af ter several unsuccessful efforts were made to enter the bulldjng, the moti being driven out each time by the dense smoke nnd llamcs. The horse was discovered In n nearby yard. How the horse got there Is perplexing those who were first at the scene. Every thing goes to show that some nerson i entered the barn by an uu-stnlr win dow and unlocking a door that locked from the Inside, led the horse to a nlace of safety and then deliberately tired the building. The fire alarm wires which are nearby were cut, thus Insur ing the total destruction of the barn. Mr. Walllck knows of no one who would be guilty of such a crime to wards him and Is nt n loss to account for the fire. The building was valued nt Peekvllle. Little Interest was shown as the very IIkIU vote of the bornuch proves, not half tho voters RettlnK out to cast their ballots. The recent con tests are still fresh In the voters' mem ory and to this Is attributed the small vote James CnrriKtin, of the East Side, was 'instantly killed by a fall of rock at the Sturces mine at about 10 o'clock ves. terday mnrnlnsr.
