SHOT IN THE MOUTH.
Thomas Golden Accidentally Wound
ed by His Soil.
Last evening about C o'clock Thomas
Golden, of No. 8. Sand street, was
reading a newspaper on Ills front
porch. He knew his 12-year-old son
had a. small llllo and as he turned
Jils head to see what wub going on a
bullet pierced his upper lip and kno'.h
cd out two teeth
The Injured man was Immediately
tnken to Dr Wheeler's private hospi
tal. An examination was made, but
the bullet was not located and the
doctor concluded that It had glanced
out of Sir Oolden's mouth. Ther
were no Injuries beyond the pune turn!
lip and broken teeth. The teeth un
doubtedly saved the man's life, as the
bullet was of 22-callbre nnd shot at
close range
Neither father nor son can give ""
