All mlneis are expected to have their tools in the chambers and head ings this evening and be ready for woik on Monday. The Hlveislde bleaker was burned to the ground on the evening of May 11 a little more than n year ago. Since that date the mine ha been idle. In the meantime a new and well-equipped bleaker has been built and it Is now, better than ever, piepared to send coal to maiket. For the piesent the plant will be undei the direction of Dr. J. N. Rice, one of the owners. Archbald Citizen. OLD BREAKER TORN DOWN. Part of the old Coalbrook breaker at Caibonrlale was mzed to the ground Satuiday. Dvnamlte was extensively used In Its destruction. Near the site of the old stiucture an Immense new bleaker -will he etected nt once. It will probably be the largest In the world The mateilal Is Vnv being placed on the giound. The new col lleiv will have a capacity of over Ji.000 tons of prepared coal, or over twice that of the present Coalbrook It will employ about 300 hands. After Its com pletion, which will probably take about five months, the Coalbrook structuio will be entirely removed. It Is said the change will lessen the cost of the piepaiatlon of the coal for the company. The bleaker will handle the entlie output of the Delawaie and Hudson mines In the -vicinity of Car bondale. It will only affect the em ployes at Racket Brook breaker, which place will be done away. HELP IS PROMISED. Alderman Rentes had a busy day Sat uiday at his court dispensing Justice and smoothing out lough places, Mr. nnd Mrs. George Wetzel, of Ran som township, had Heniy Wheeler, of the same place, arraigned on tho charge of larceny of a team of horses. The testimony of tho prosecution was that Wheeler rented their farm sevcial months ngo and nt that time they bought of him the horses In question, a cow, calf and some hogs, for which they were to pay $150. Wheeler was to pay a rental of $10 a month. He re mained as their tenant six months, and, when moving, got the use of the horses, and since has refused to return them, hence the arrest. The defendant stated that $or Is yet due him on the sale. An amicable agreement was effected by Wetzel pay ing for tho horses nnd Wheeler remit ting the six months' lent due. John Kane, of Elm street, was ar rested on a wan ant issued at tho In stance of his daughter, Miss Nora Kane. She chaiged her father with being an Inveterate drinker, nnd abus ing his family shamefully. Her mother Is an Invalid, and tho treatment Kane offeied her, accoidlng to the daugh ters statement, was heartrending In tho extreme. When arrested Kane was too drunk to be given a hearing. He was locked up and yesterday morning was sentenced to thirty dajs In the county Jail. His daughter, however, asked the alderman to suspend sen tence for one week, upon a promise from Kane that he would mend his wavs The alderman had him assign his wages to his daughter, nnd warned him of the future. John Hogan, of Bcllevuc, charged with defiaudlng his aunt, Mrs. Bridget Convey, out of a hoard bill of $63, was held in $300 ball, which he furnished. FORTUNATE RESIDENTS.
