"When you are sick, what you like best Is to be chosen for a medicine In tho first place; what experience tells you Is best, to bo chosen In the second place; what leason (I. e Theory) says Is best to be chosen In the last place. But If you can get Dr. Inclination, Dr. Experience nnd Dr. Reason to hold a consultation together, they will give you the best advice that can be taken." When you have a bad cold Dr. In clination would recommend Chumber laln's Cough Remedy, because it is pleasant and safe to take. Tho bread fruit tree has a solid fruit, a llttlo larger than a cocoanut, which, when cut In slices and cooked, can scarcely bo distinguished from excellent bread. The weeping tree of tho Canary Islands Is wet even in drought, constantly dis tilling water In its leaves. A kind of ash In Sicily has a sap which hardens Into sugar, like the sap of the American sugar maple, and Is used for sweetening purposes by tho natives with out any retlnlng. Tho product of tho wax trees In the Andes resembles beeswax very closely. Tho butter tree of Africa produces as much as a hundred pounds of its pecu liar product, at once, only to be renewed In a few months. This secretion, when hardened and salted, Is dlfllcult to dis tinguish from fresh, sweet butter. Closely rivaling tho butter tree Is tho milk tree of South America, tho sap of which resembles rich cow's milk and is used by the natives as such, China can boast of a soap tree, the seeds of which produce strong suds und remove dirt and gucse readily. In direct opposition to these useful trees Is tho man-eating plant of the tropics, which resembles A'enus's tly trap in Its nature. It has a short, thick trunk, with narrow, flexible barbed spines.
