The funeral of Mrs. Patrick Troy took place from the family residenco on Birch street yesterday morning. A requiem mass was sung at St. Peter's cathedral by Rev. J. J. B. Feeley. Interment was made in tho Cathedral cemetery. The pallbearers were: Thomas, Pat rick and John Whalen, James Lahey, James Harrington and Patrick Wha len. The obsequies were attended by a largo number of the deceased's friends. TWO CELEBRATIONS. Edwnid Kneller permanent man of the century hose company, wns twenty-five years of age yesterday. Inci dent to tho occasion, a reception was tendered him last night in the parlors at the hose house. It was attended by a number of intimate ft lends. DRIVER BOY INJURED. Frank McGuIre, of Stone avenue, was Injured In the Dodge mine yesterday afternoon. He was employed as a driver, and while engaged at his work he was injured by being squeezed be tween cars, The mine ambulance conveyed him to his home. Dr. Haggcrty was called. McGulre's condition Is not Ferlous. Two ribs are broken, and ho ha3 a number of bruises. NUBS OF NEWS. Mrs. Terrpe, wife of Poor Director Frederick Terrpe, is seriously ill at Dalton. She was visiting at Lake Sheridan when attacked. At her re quest preparations were made for her removal home. Her condition became so serious that It was found Imperative to remove her at Dalton, when the train reached there yesterday. Mr. Terrpe ias notified by telegram and left for there. Last night he tele graphed Dr. Kolb that Mrs. Terrpe's condition was critical. R. C. Schaeffer, proprietor of the White House, and Miss Lizzie Fischer will be married tonight at 7 o'clock, at the home of the bride. The funeral of Otto Tross will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. A daughter was born to Police Ser geant Robert Delter yesterday. Harris, on Division street, last evening and tendered him and his estimable wife a farewell reception, prior to their departure for Miner's Mills where Mr. Harris has accepted a position as manager of a largs. com pany store. The evening wns spent pleasantly. The choir sang several anthems, and solos were also sung by some of the members. At a late hour ref rerhments w ere served. D., who has been filling the pulpit of the First Welsh Baptist church for the past month, will end his labors there next Sunday and will set sail for his home in Swansea, South Wales. During Dr. Williams' short stay ho has preached several scholarly ser mons, two of which have appeared In The Tribune, to audiences that filled the church, notwithstanding the ex tremely warm weather. While here the reverend gentleman has received a warm welcome from his old parishioners as well as from many people who had the pleasure of meet ing him. Dr. Williams Is one of the ablest ministers who ever preached the Gospel and his departure will be greatly regretted The sermon In the morning of next Sunday will be preached in Welsh, and that of the eve ning In English. Several members of the Electric City Bicycle club enjoyed a trip to Elm hurst last evening. They started from the club house on Jackson street at 8 o'clock. Miss Margaret, wns united in marriage to Henry Thomas, of Gardener avenue. The ceremony was performed in the parlor which was beautifully deco rated with diversified flora? (embel lishments. Rev. W. F. Davis, pastor of the First Welsh Baptist church, Wayne avenue, officiated. The bride wns at tended by Miss Hattle Thomas, a sis ter of the groom. Mr. Benjamin Lew is was groomsman. Miss Williams was gowned In a dress of white satin trimmed with chiffon and French lace and carried a bouquet of Easter lilies. Her attendant was similarly dressed and also carried a bouquet of lilies. The nuptials were witnessed by over fifty invited guests. After the ceremony a sumptuous wedding feast was enjoyed by all present. Many beautiful wedding pres ents were received by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas. They left on a midnight train for an extended wedding tour throughout New York state. On their return thev will reside in this section, where both are well known and have n legion of fi lends. ALDERMAN1C CASES. Alderman Roberts was kept quite busy yesterday disposing of cases. T. H. C. Moloney, who It appears Is not daunted in the least with the many obstacles ho has met In prosecuting Illegal liquor dispensers, appears again. Adam Spltzer, of Court street, was arraigned at his instance charged with retailing liquors and neglecting to comply with the bottling license laws. Ball was required. Anthony Bartney was accusetV with committing assault and battery on Anthony Jlslo. The defendant fur nlshed $300 ball. A case of vice versa was tried against Jislo on the same charge, furnished by Bartney. The same amount of ball was required. 'Patrick Barrett and his mother, Mary Barrett, wero held for further hearing on a charge of assault and battery, brought against them by Pat rick Barrett, father and husband re spectively. Attorney Vosburg xeprcv sented the prosecutor. The case will come up for a hearing tonight. LEWIS WAS DISCHARGED. William Lewis, who said he was an umbrella mender, was arrested on sus picion of being Implicated In the daring safe burglaries which have been com mitted In Dickson City the past week. Lewis, as he gave his name, was tak en from Brlght's hotel by Patrolmen Saltry and Thomas, at the Instance of the bartender. The latter, from a con lersatlon carried on between him and the suspected man, thought he received an intimation which connected Lewis. At tho station house he gave a batls factory account of himself for many weeks, and as there was nothing found on his person warranting him being held, his subsequent discharge fol lowed.
