Lensley signed a lease last night for the Madigan store room on Salem avenue. P. K. BARGAH DIED. Apoplexy Ended His Life Early Yes terday Morning. P. K. Bargar, of North Chun h street, who suffered a stroke of apoplexy Mon day evening, as stated In The Tribune, succumbed to the malady earlv yes terday morning. HeTas unconscious about fifteen hours prior to his death. Mr. Bargar was born in Cadiz, Ohio, in the year 1831 and was therefore sixty-seven years of nge. In 1840 he removed to this city and became iden tified with the Carbondale Democrat, a weekly paper published by the lato Silas S. Benedict. Poon after this he went to Wllkes-Barre, where ho re mained but a short time. He came hack to Scranton and lemalned there about fifteen years, when he remoed to this city, where he has since lived For the past fle years ho had been employed ns sexton at the First Pres byterian church and was engaged at his duties when stricken down. He is survived by a wife and two sans, George P and Willis R The funeral will bo held on Trlday afternoon at 2 30 o'clock at the resi dence. Rev. It Is with much profound sorrow we ore called upon to mouin the death of Mrs. George Evans, Jr., whoso death occuired at an rally hour jesterdoy morning. Mrs Evans was born In this place twenty voars ago She was the duughter of ex-Councllmun and Mrs. Thomas M. Davis, of Main htreet, who are desolate at the loss of their dear one. The sweet disposition of the de ceased endeared her to all who knew her, nnd who will be deeply grieved at the sad news of her untimely death. She was a member of the Emblem di vision, No. 57, Sons of Temperance, nnd was also a member of tho Welsh Con gregational church. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
